The family of a lawyer killed in an ambush in Manila six months ago is offering a P300,000 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.

Clint Laudencia, a law professor at Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) and a senior tax lawyer at San Miguel Brewery Inc., was driving his car when shot dead around 10 a.m. on March 26 at the corner of Begonia and New Panaderos Streets in Sta. Ana.

According to eyewitness accounts, the gunman—who wore a helmet and had a handkerchief covering his face—fled on a red Honda Wave motorbike with a license plate marked “for registration,” along with another man who apparently served as a lookout in front of Sta. Ana General Hospital.

The Manila police and the National Bureau of Investigation have joined forces to solve the case. The motive for the killing remained unknown, the family said in a statement sent to the Inquirer.

Laudencia was also the president of Promoprint Corp., a deacon of Cathedral of Praise in Ermita, Manila, and a father of four, the family said.

“We must help one another and put a stop to such heinous crimes committed against innocent and valued citizens of our community,” Laudencia’s loved ones said.
