Youth polls listing starts Saturday

MANILA, Philippines—Despite moves to further postpone the Sangguniang Kabataan elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) urged Filipino youth ages 18 years old and below to register for the upcoming youth council polls scheduled in February 2015.

Comelec Chair Sixto Brillantes said Filipinos between 15 and 17 years old may register beginning Saturday.

Comelec Resolution No. 9899 sets the period to file application forms for SK on Sept. 20 to 29 in all Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) nationwide.

The resolution said the SK applicant only need to accomplish one copy of the registration form.

Qualified applicants may also choose to download and accomplish the application form from the Comelec website.
