MANILA, Philippines – One person died and seven others were injured in a road mishap along Buhagan Road, Baguio City Thursday night, a police official said Friday.
The fatality was identified as Alfredo Langpawen, 28, the driver of the Ford vehicle, with plate number AYF834, which crashed into a pine tree on the opposite lane of Bughan Road at 11 p.m., said Inspector Karissma Sta. Juana.
Sta. Juana said Langpawen lost control of his vehicle that’s why he veered to the opposite lane, hitting the pine tree and then a Kia Pride, with plate number UBG421, which was parked on the side of the road.
Seven passengers of the Ford vehicle were rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center for treatment and have since been declared safe. Langpawen was declared dead on arrival.
