MANILA, Philippines–Expect to see security guards manning the gates of Camp Crame in Quezon City soon as the Philippine National Police finalizes a P21 million contract with a security agency.
“The policemen assigned at the gates will be replaced by security guards. The contract is being finalized with a security agency,” PNP Director General Alan Purisima said.
Policemen detailed at the three gates of the camp, the main lobby and other entrances of the national headquarters will be deployed to the National Capital Region Police Office to boost anti-crime campaigns.
Early in January, the PNP announced its invitation to bid for the P21-million contract for the deployment of security guards to man the Camp Crame gates.
