MANILA, Philippines—Parents of slain car racer Enzo Pastor has asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to put under the government’s Witness Protection Program their three witnesses on the death of their son.

Tomas and Remedios Pastor said Thursday that witnesses Paolo Salazar, Chona Domen and Alvin Nidua should be given government protection because they have been receiving threats.

Salazar was with Pastor on the day he was killed. Domen, on the other hand, is the nanny of the children of Enzo and Dalia Pastor who confirmed the illicit relations between Dalia and Domingo ‘‘Sandy” de Guzman, the alleged brain behind Enzo’s death.

Nidua, meanwhile, was allegedly the first gun for hire tapped to kill Enzo but the transaction did not push through because his asking price of P500,000 is too high.

The three already submitted their affidavits to the NBI.

Pastor was killed last June 12 in Quezon City on his way to Pampanga.
