Fire hits homes near Camp Aguinaldo–report

MANILA, Philippines — Fire hit a residential area in Quezon City near the Camp Aguinaldo military headquarters, according to a radio report Thursday.

Quoting authorities, the report said at least 30 families from 10 houses were affected by the dawn fire at Barangay (village) Socorro on 5th Avenue and Liberty Street.

No injuries were reported.

Traffic on the northbound lane of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue‎ (Edsa) has started to get heavy as responding firetrucks rushed to the scene, the report said.

The ‎cause of the fire, which reached third alarm, has not been determined, the report said.
