Pagasa: Thunderstorms to persist in Metro Manila, nearby provinces

MANILA, Philippines—The weather bureau said that thunderstorms may persist Wednesday afternoon even as Metro Manila and nearby provinces are already drenched in rains.

In its advisory issued at 11:10 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that a thunderstorm is affecting Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite (General Mariano Alvarez, Carmona, Silang), Bulacan (Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray), Tarlac (La Paz, Tarlac City, Concepcion), Bataan (Morong) and Zambales. It added that the thunderstorms may persist within the next couple of hours.Pagasa added that thunderstorms may also affect Rizal and other parts of Cavite, Bulacan, Tarlac, Bataan and Zambales.
