MANILA, Philippines – A total of 2,218 out of 2,730 or 81.24 percent passed the August 2014 Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in Manila, Cerbu, and Davao, according to the Profession Regulation Commission (PRC).
Raymund Martin Sia Li of the Cebu Institute of Medicine and Eric Royd Fanco Talavera of the University of Sto. Tomas topped the exam with a rating of 89.58 percent, the PRC said.
The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the exams were Dr. Miguel L. Noche Jr., Chairman; Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Restituto C. De Ocampo, Dr. Jose Y. Cueto, Jr., and Dr. Mildred N. Pareja, Members.
The results were released in four working days from the last day of examination, the PRC said.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on September 11, 12, 15 and 16, 2014.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
* duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,
*current Community Tax Certificate (cedula),
*one piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag),
*two sets of metered documentary stamps,
*one short brown envelope with name and profession and
*payment of initial registration fee of P600 and annual registration fee of P450 for 2014-2017.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees will be announced at a later date.
