NP’s Jonvic Remulla is new spokesman for Vice President Binay

MANILA, Philippines – A member of the Nacionalista Party is the new spokesman of Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla announced at the press conference Wednesday that he would be the official spokesperson of the vice president.

Remulla said his new position has the blessing of the Nacionalista Party, specifically of party leader and former Senator Manny Villar.

Remulla said Binay, in a personal capacity, asked him to be the spokesman.

Binay has been under fire of late over the alleged overpricing of a carpark in Makati City, the construction of which began when he was mayor.

He and his son, incumbent Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Jun-Jun” Binay, have been charged with graft before the Office of the Ombudsman.
