Tupas accepts De Lima’s ice bucket challenge

MANILA, Philippines—Iloilo Representative Niel Tupas Jr. on Tuesday accepted the challenge from Justice Secretary Leila De Lima to take on the ice bucket challenge.

“Challenge accepted,” Tupas said in a text message.

Asked when he plans to do it, Tupas said: “I will set it. I never back out of a challenge.”

The latest social media craze aims to spread awareness on the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS.

Secretary Leila De Lima and Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares completed their chilling tasks Tuesday.

Henares nominated BIR deputy commissioner Estela Sales to take on the dare while De Lima dared Rehabilitation Czar Panfilo Lacson, Tupas and Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to take part in the ice bucket challenge.
