MANILA, Philippines — Former senator and now rehabilitation czar Panfilo Lacson will join the long list of people who took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
It was Justice Secretary Leila De Lima who nominated Lacson to take on the challenge.
“I will accept, especially because the challenge came from Leila,” Lacson told Inquirer.net in a text message on Tuesday.
“Advance birthday gift ko sa kanya, as I told her when she informed me of her nomination,” he added.
The ice bucket challenge is the latest craze on social media, which aims to raise awareness and funds on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS.
