Intense rainfall warning up in Metro Manila, nearby provinces

MANILA, Philippines—As a low pressure area persists over larger parts of Luzon, the weather bureau on Tuesday afternoon raised an intense rainfall warning signal over Metro Manila.

In its 4 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration raised an ‘orange’ level warning in Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, Rizal, Laguna and Quezon.

Pagasa added that floods may ensue over the said areas which would experience 15 to 30 millimeters or rain per hour or four to eight gallons of water per square meter.

Zambales, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac and Nueva Ecija are under a heavy rainfall warning.
