‎Senate resumes probe into Makati carpark controversy

MANILA, Philippines – The Senate  on Tuesday resumed its  investigation into the alleged overpriced  parking  building  in Makati  with  Mayor   Jejomar Erwin  Binay   still invited as one of the resource persons.

Binay and his father and namesake, Vice President Jejomar Binay,  were among those charged with plunder and graft at the  Office of the  Ombudsman   over  the reported anomalous construction of the Makati City Hall parking building.

Mayor Binay sent a representative from his office.

Also invited to appear at the hearing by the   Senate blue ribbon committee was former  Makati Vice  Mayor  Ernesto Mercado,  whose exclusion  from the charges was questioned by  the  Binays.

During  last  week’s hearing , Mayor Binay testified and faced his accusers, laywer Renato Bondal and  Nicholas Enciso VI  both from the Bondal Law  Office.
