Grace Poe remembers dad on 75th birthday

MANILA, Philippines – Senator Grace Poe quietly commemorated the 75th birthday of her father Fernando Poe Jr.

Poe on Wednesday, August 20, visited her father’s tomb at the North Cemetery where she offered flowers and lighted candles.

In a Tweeter message, Poe thanked the public who have not forgotten her father who died on Dec. 14, 2004 at the age of 65.

Born in 1939 in Manila, Poe, the “King of Philippine Cinema” or “Da King”, was known for his roles in iconic films including the “Panday” series, which made him a legend in the local film industry.
