The seventh body was identified as Maico Eleva Bartolome, a former member of noontime show Eat Bulaga’s EB Babes.
She was recovered by the search team in Madlum river in Barangay (village) Sibul, San Miguel, Bulacan, the report said.
This puts the death toll to seven in the river tragedy that marred a field trip of Bulacan State University (BSU) Tourism students who were in the area to visit the Madlum cave.
The students were supposedly crossing the river at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday when a strong current swept them away.
The Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) is eyeing a warning system installed in the area, PDRRMO head Felicisima Mungcal said in the report.
The BSU, meanwhile, has announced a day of mourning as it suspended future field trips in the aftermath of the tragedy.
