Centro 5 fends off Capitol
CENTRO edged Capitol, 95-86 last Monday to bolster its chances of making the semifinal round of the Holy Family Basketball Cup at the Mabolo Sports Complex.
Melboy Jardin had 20 points to lead Centro to its second win in four matches. Allain Ortiz led the losers with 18 points.
Meanwhile, defending champion Golden Life is already in the semifinals by virtue of its league-leading 5-0 record.
In the semifinal round slated to start next week, the Azkalitos will face 15-30 Store hoping for a win that would improve its record to 2-2 and create a four-way tie in the team standings along with 15-30 Store, Centro and San Roque. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
