Aquino just being honest with ‘Cha-cha,’ public pre-judged – Palace

MANILA, Philippines – As far as Malacañang is concerned, President Benigno Aquino III was just being honest with his views on Charter change.

Others, however, have pre-judged him, Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said.

“For the record this is the first president who was honest in his views in the constitution,” he said during a press briefing.

Lacierda also made it clear that “There are no movements from the palace to amend the constitution” amid Aquino’s desire to look into the issues of judicial overreach and judicial restraint.
