GSIS sets up kiosk at Mandaue City Hall
THE Government Service Insurance System installed its GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System (G-WAPS) kiosk at the Mandaue City Hall to bring its frontline services to the card-bearing 600 regular employees.
City Mayor Jonas Cortes, who just received his Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID) card, was the first to test the machine by inserting his card and upgrading personal information.
“We thank the management of GSIS for this kind of service. This is a perfect timing since the city is implementing the full automation project for effective service,” said the mayor.
Lawyer Mercedes Victoria Enriquez, assistant regional vice president of GSIS who personally supervised the installation and turnover said that instead of going to their office, an employee can transact with the kiosk using the UMID system or E-Card plus.
One can withdraw his loan proceeds from the machine or check other information like total service, creditable service and loans service record, among others, Enriquez said. Pensioners can also withdraw their pension through the machine.
The machine located in the ground floor of city hall is powered by Globe and functional during office hours up to 6 p.m. including Sundays.
