Napoles prays using rosary given by Pope John Paul II

MANILA, Philippines—Businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles says she prays everyday using the rosary given to her by Pope John Paul II.
“She’s a very religious person even before,” her lawyer Stephen David said Friday, after attending her bail hearing at the Sandiganbayan.
He said Napoles, alleged mastermind in the P10-billion “pork” barrel scam, prays the rosary 2,000 a day.
Napoles even sent some priests to school, David said.
During Friday’s hearing, David said no documents mentioned Napoles as being involved in the alleged fake non-government organizations which were allegedly used to funnel funds from the congressional discretionary funds of some lawmakers.
He said the prosecution merely based its case on the testimony of Benhur Luy.
Napoles is facing graft and plunder charges and currently detained at Camp Bagong Diwa.
