Plane mechanic dead in Clark airport mishap–reports

MANILA, Philippines– An airplane mechanic died after a pushback truck hit him in the tarmac of the Clark International Airport,  in Angeles City, Pampanga, reports said.

Adrian Mendoza, an airport mechanic employed by Lufthansa Philippines, was at the Ramp Area- Bay 3 of the airport when he was hit and ran over by the truck.

Mendoza was rushed to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

The 19-year-old truck driver, Rowell  Rivera, surrendered and now detained at the Clark Airbase police station facing charge of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide.

Rivera is an employee of the Clark Air Support Operations.
