A seaman died due to a gunshot wound he sustained in a traffic altercation with a man who had introduced himself as a policeman.

Danielo Gray, 34, a resident of Las Piñas City, was still alive when he was rushed to Philippine General Hospital after he was shot at 2 a.m. Wednesday.

However, he passed away nearly eight hours later.

More importantly, they said he was driving a gold Mitsubishi GLXI car with the license plate UEC 374.

Police Officer 2 Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District’s Station 5 said that according to the victim’s companions, Gray was driving his black Toyota Vios at the corner of M. H. del Pilar and Salas streets in Ermita, Manila, when his car collided with that of the unidentified man.

Gray was then on his way to Pasay City.

The witnesses said that Gray and the other driver went down to inspect the damage to their vehicles although they started arguing afterward.

They added that the victim tried to photograph the damage to his car with a digital camera but the other driver would have none of it.

The other man tried to grab the camera from Gray and eventually knocked it to the ground.

He then went back to his car, took out a gun and then pointed it at Gray’s chest.

He told the victim: “P***** ina, pulis ako (I’m a policeman, you son of a b****)!” before he pulled the trigger and drove away in his vehicle.
