MANILA, Philippines – Why don’t we work together?
That was the message of Malacañang to Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito after he gave his “kontra-State of the Nation Address” on Monday.
“Bibigyan namin ng masusing pag-aaral ang kanyang talumpati para matugunan ang kanyang ipinahayag,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. told media of the data cited by Ejercito during his speech at the Senate.
(We will thoroughly study his speech to address the issues he mentioned.)
“Maaari namang pagtulungan ng administrasyon at oposisyon ang pagtugon sa mga suliranin ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagpasa ng mga prayoridad na mga batas, kasama na ang pambansang budget,” he added despite Ejercito’s criticism of President Benigno Aquino III’s State of the Nation Address two weeks ago.
(The administration and the opposition could work together to solve the problems faced by the country by passing priority bills, including the national budget.)
During his speech, the senator said the data mentioned in the President’s Sona did not reflect the real situation on the ground.
