Possible rain over Batanes due to southwest monsoon

MANILA, Philippines – Rains may ensue over the extreme northern parts of the country with the southwest monsoon lingering over the area, the weather bureau said Monday.

In its bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that occasional rains may drop over Batanes Group of Islands due to the southwest monsoon.

Pagasa said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers.
