Fire destroys 30 hectares of forest in Camarines Sur
NAGA CITY, Philippines— A forest fire has broken out in Calabanga, Camarines Sur, and burned down about 30 hectares of forest in the village of Harubay.
Edecia Orlina, Harubay village head, told the Inquirer by phone that the fire started around 1 p.m.
Orlina said two firetrucks from the town proper had been sent to her village to douse the fire but she feared it could not be contained.

At past 4 p.m., the fire continued to spread toward Tinambac town, she said.
This developed even as the neighboring province of Albay continued to battle forest fires that still raged in forested areas on Cagraray Island.
