Rains to fall in Metro Manila, ‘Jose’ nears exit

MANILA, Philippines—Metro Manila will experience some rainfall until Wednesday evening with the southwest monsoon getting a boost from Typhoon “Jose,” the weather bureau said.

In its bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the southwest monsoon affects Luzon and would bring occasional rains over Metro Manila.

Ilocos Region would experience monsoon rains while the rest of Luzon would have some occasional rains.

Also, Pagasa last spotted “Jose” at 860 kilometers east northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.

“Jose” packs peak winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gusts of 185 kph and set to move north at 15 kph.

It is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday morning.
