87-year-old woman rescued from QC fire

MANILA, Philippines – An elderly woman was rescued in a fire that hit a residential area in Project 8, Quezon City on Monday afternoon.

Firemen battling the blaze saved the 87-year-old woman from a burning house. She was immediately given emergency treatment.

Authorities have yet to identify the woman.

Media reports said the blaze engulfed a number of houses along Saint Andre Street.

The fire has reached second alarm as of posting time.
