MANILA, Philippines-Typhoon “Jose” has slightly weakened as it continued its path toward the northern regions of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the weather bureau said on Monday.
In its 11 am bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the typhoon now packs maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of 220 kph while moving at a pace of 15 kph at a northwest path.
Pagasa last spotted the eye of “Jose” at 880 km east southeast of Aparri, Cagayan.
No public storm warning signal has been raised.
