MANILA, Philippines—A 42-year-old woman stabbed several times her female friend, a staff of a doctor, inside St. Luke’s Medical Center on E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue Quezon City on Thursday.
Using a kitchen knife, Laura Cruz, a resident of Gagalangin, Tondo, wounded Dionie Concepcion, 45, inside a clinic on the fourth floor of the hospital.
Concepcion survived the attack, and was treated at St. Luke’s while Cruz had just undergone booking process at the Galas police station, an officer told INQUIRER.net over the phone.
Police Officer 3 Rogie Bodomo, case investigator, said in the spot report that Cruz asked Concepcion to accompany her to St. Luke’s, hoping there would be job vacancies there.
Bodomo said Concepcion then told her friend to leave her contact number and wait for the hospital to call her back.
The officer said after their conversation the suspect suddenly stabbed Concepcion.
“We can’t determine yet how many stab wounds were inflicted on the victim. We are still waiting for the medicolegal report,” the officer said.
Senior Inspector Maricar Taqueban, Quezon City Police District spokesperson, said in a text message that a St. Luke’s security personnel brought Cruz to the police.
