Did you know: 1st election for Philippine Assembly

The first national election for a Philippine Assembly was held on July 30, 1907. Eighty delegates were elected for two-year terms with at least one delegate for each of the 34 provinces. The Nacionalista Party garnered 59 seats, the Progresistas 16 seats while the rest went to independents and minority parties.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
