MANILA, Philippines – Rains will persist in the Philippines for Thursday as the southwest monsoon affects Luzon, the weather bureau said.
In its weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, and Pangasinan are set to experience monsoon rains.
Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, and the rest of Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Mimaropa would have occasional rains.
Pagasa added that a low pressure area was spotted at 800 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar at 4 a.m. Thursday.
