MANILA, Philippines–As Typhoon Henry moves out of the country, the weather bureau Tuesday evening removed public storm warning signal No. 2 over Batanes but maintained a lower signal over two other areas.
In its latest bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said “Henry” was estimated at 260 kilometers north of Basco, Batanes, with wind speeds of 130 kilometers per hour and gusts of 160 kph while moving northwest at 24 kph.
Pagasa maintained public storm warning signal No. 1 over the Babuyan Group of Islands and Calayan Group of Islands.
“Henry” is expected to move out of the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday morning.
