Aquino, Binay to lead inauguration of world’s largest indoor arena
MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III and Vice President Jejomar Binay will lead on Monday morning the inauguration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (INC) Philippine Arena, considered the world’s largest domed indoor arena.
Malacanang said Aquino and INC Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo will unveil the marker in front of the 55,000-seater arena, which is located in the 50-hectare complex called Ciudad de Victoria or City of Victory in Bocaue, Bulacaan.
Both Aquino and Binay will take part in the main program, which will feature speeches by INC minister Bienvenido Santiago and the President, as well as musical performances.
INC members are expected to fill the arena and attend the event.
The arena was built for the celebration of INC’s centennial anniversary this year.
Last week, Aquino declared July 27 (Sunday) a special non-working holiday in commemoration of the INC centennial anniversary.
