A new public hospital will soon rise in Caloocan City to enhance access to medical services especially for indigent residents.
The two-story, 50-bed hospital, to be called Caloocan City Medical Center-North, will be built on a 1.5-hectare lot on Susano Road, Camarin.
Completion is expected in December 2016, the city government said Friday.
“This is the first and very important step towards the realization of a promise to bring quality health and medical services to the residents of Caloocan North,” said Mayor Oscar Malapitan who led the July 11 groundbreaking rites with the Department of Health and other city officials.
The hospital will also serve as an annex of the first Caloocan City Medical Center on Mabini Street. Camille Anne M. Arcilla
