MANILA, Philippines–Death toll from Typhoon “Glenda” (Rammasun) rose to 54 on Friday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.

Damage to infrastructure and agriculture was pegged at P5.4 billion.

The report said that in agriculture, a total of P4,529,620,307.42 was the cost of damage to rice, corn, high valued cash crops, livestock, and agricultural facilities in Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Bicol and Cordillera Administrative Region.

The damage to infrastructure in Central Luzon, Bicol, Eastern Visayas and National Capital Region was worth about P892 million.

Around 500,000 people have been sheltered in 1,200 evacuation centers.

There were 100 injured and three missing from the typhoon.
