MANILA, Philippines — The defense of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles scored a point after an official from the Commission on Audit (COA) said the businesswoman’s name did not appear in the documents pertaining to the pork barrel fund releases.
But assistant commissioner Susan Garcia told the Sandiganbayan at the hearing for Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.’s petition for bail Thursday that even if Napoles’ name didn’t appear, the names of the bogus non-government organizations linked to her did.
Garcia was responding to a question by Napoles lawyer Stephen David as to whether his client’s name appeared on any of the PDAF documents or endorsements.
Revilla is charged with plunder for his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.
