Bong Revilla aide in ‘pork’ scam to plead for bail

MANILA, Philippines — The legislative officer of Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. and a co-accused in the pork barrel scam arrived at the Sandiganbayan on Thursday for his bail hearing.

Lawyer Richard Cambe faces plunder and graft charges for his alleged involvement in the illegal transfer of lawmakers’ Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel to bogus non-government organizations allegedly created by now detained businesswoman and reported mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.

Expected this afternoon is Revilla, who will be facing for the first time whistleblowers Benhur Luy, Merlina Sunas and Marina Sula who will take the witness stand.
