Quezon City was once designated the country’s capital by virtue of Republic Act No. 333 signed by President Elpidio Quirino on July 17, 1948. Manila was re-established as the capital of the Philippines in 1976 by virtue of Presidential Decree 940 issued by then President Ferdinand Marcos. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
