Metro Manila posted 40 percent, or 157, of the reported 393 new HIV cases registered nationwide in April, based on figures from the Department of Health. The new cases brought the total number of reported HIV cases in the country to 18,341 since 1984.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
