BEIJING—Chinese state media say at least 14 people have died in the latest flooding triggered by heavy rains in southwestern China.

Flooding in southern China’s Henan, Shaanxi and Sichuan regions this month has already forced more than 1 million people to evacuate and left more than 80 people dead or missing.

Xinhua News Agency said Tuesday that 14 people have died and 11 were injured in Sichuan this month due to the heavy flooding as of Monday.

The report did not say when the people died or if they were included in the total numbers.

The landslides and mudslides have toppled homes and blocked roads. The rains that caused them are expected to last over the next two days.
