Did you know: Andrea Veneracion

The late National Artist for Music Andrea Veneracion was born on July 11, 1928, in Manila. A singer and choir master, she was one of the leaders in the development of Philippine choral music. She also founded the Philippine Madrigal Singers in 1963 and was conferred the title of National Artist in 1999. Veneracion died on July 9, 2013. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
