Teen linked to motorbike thefts nabbed in Makati

A 19-year-old man being linked to a series of motorcycle thefts in Makati City was arrested early Saturday.

Police said a call from a concerned citizen led to the arrest of Erol Legazpi Bautista, who yielded an unlicensed .38-cal. pistol and two motorcycle keys when cornered and subdued by village watchmen.

PO3 Wilfredo Alvarez of the Makati police said Bautista was with four other men who scampered in different directions when a civilian security officer approached them on Water Lily Street in Barangay Rizal around 1:30 a.m.

Alvarez said Bautista’s name earlier cropped up as a suspect in the recent spate of motorcycle thefts in the barangay, where the teenager also lives. Kristine Felisse Mangunay
