PNP receives Enrile arrest warrant

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Friday that it received the arrest warrant against Senator Juan Ponce Enrile and his co-accused for plunder filed before the Sandiganbayan.

Speaking to reporters, Reuben Theodore Sindac, spokesman of the PNP, said operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) are now in close coordination with the camp of Enrile.

Sindac said Enrile was now on his way to Camp Crame to surrender before the police.

He said his commitment order would be issued after they return the arrest warrant at the anti-graft court.
