4 domestic flights at NAIA cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA, Philippines—Four domestic flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport were cancelled on Thursday due to bad weather affecting areas in the Bicol Region.

According to the advisory issued by the Manila International Airport Authority on Thursday, those cancelled were the Cebu Pacific flight 5J 521 which was set to leave for Naga City at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday and the PAL Express flight 2P 2265 which was about to leave for the same destination at 8:40 a.m.

Their return flights to Manila scheduled at 11:40 a.m. and 10:40 a.m., respectively, were likewise cancelled.

In its 24-hour weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration announced that at 4 a.m. on Thursday, a low pressure area would bring rains and cause thunderstorms in the Bicol region and in Visayas and Mindanao.
