Most respondents say Nora Aunor doesn’t deserve National Artist award

MANILA, Philippines—Majority of INQUIRER.net readers believed that actress Nora Aunor does not deserve the National Artist for Film Award, according to an unofficial survey it conducted.

The poll question was: Do you think Nora Aunor should have been named National Artist for Film?

INQUIRER.net poll results showed that from 20, 933 votes gathered as of Tuesday afternoon, 52 percent or 10, 886 respondents said Aunor does not deserve the National Artist Award while 43. 19 percent, or  9, 042 of the respondents said the actress deserved it.  Meanwhile, 4.8 percent said they do not care about the issue.

Aquino admittedTuesday that drugs was the reason why he rejected Nora Aunor’s nomination as National Artist for film.
