The elder brother and fellow officer of a rookie policeman recently shot dead in Quezon City said he had seen the killers talking to the man with whom his sibling had a dispute prior to the attack.
Two days after the June 26 ambush on Police Officer 1 Khrissan Nad, his brother PO1 Bernice Vladimir Nad told superiors that he witnessed the attack from his house and recognized the two assailants as the same pair who had an earlier “huddle” with Losbriggs Fabro, the Nads’ neighbor in Barangay Bahay Toro.
According to Chief Insp. Rodelio Marcelo, head of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, the 32-year-old Bernice Nad pointed to Fabro as the same man who grew angry at Khrissan after the latter had Fabro’s cousin thrown in jail for a drug-related offense.
Fabro’s cousin had also allegedly threatened to kill Khrissan, 28. Like his brother, the slain rookie policeman was a member of the QCPD assigned to the Talipapa station.
On his way home Thursday night, Khrissan took a fatal shot in the head in an attack at Sitio Militar, Bahay Toro, which also wounded his nephew, John Alfred Alipio. Julie M. Aurelio
