MANILA, Philippines – As a low pressure area (LPA) hovers over Eastern Samar, rains are set to affect a major part of the country, the weather bureau said.
In its weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA is at 390 kilometer east of Borongan, Eastern Samar at 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
Pagasa added that Visayas, the Regions of Bicol, Caraga and Northern Mindanao would have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
Also, Mimaropa, Calabarzon and the rest of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
