CAMARINES SUR—A three-room public elementary school building in Ocampo town was nearly razed in an hourlong fire on Sunday afternoon.

Chief Insp. Gilbert Remo, officer in charge of the Ocampo Municipal Police Office, said the fire, which started at 4:10 p.m., destroyed around 90 percent of the school building in Del Rosario Elementary School in Ocampo.

Firemen from the nearby towns of Pili and Tigaon helped put out the fire that lasted until 5:30 p.m. He said the Bureau of Fire Protection had yet to find out what triggered the blaze. Shiena M. Barrameda, Inquirer Southern Luzon
