INQUIRER.net poll results showed that from the 4, 631 votes gathered as of Tuesday morning, 89.51 percent or 4, 145 respondents said Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Juan Ponce Enrile should be put in a regular jail while 10. 49 percent said they should be inside a detention facility in Camp Crame.
On Friday, Revilla surrendered to the Sandiganbayan and has since been detained at the Phililippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center on charges of graft and plunder for allegedly pocketing P242 million in kickbacks from businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged mastermind in the pork barrel scam.
On Monday, his co-accused, Estrada, surrendered at Camp Crame and was also detained at the PNP custodial center.
Estrada is accused of pocketing P183 million of his pork barrel funds –a charge that he denied and blamed Aquino administration for politicking.
The anti-graft court has yet to issue an arrest warrant against Enrile who allegedly pocketed P172.8 million in kickbacks from Napoles’ bogus non-government organizations.
Plunder is a non-bailable offense but the three senators have filed a petition for bail before the Sandiganbayan.
