MANILA, Philippines–Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito on Monday said he would visit his half-brother, Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada, in his detention when “I feel that the situation is better.”
“In time, when I feel that the situation is better, then I will visit him,” Ejercito said in a text
message, shortly after Estrada’s surrender in connection with the plunder and graft charges filed against him.
Ejercito and Estrada are sons of former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada with different women but both have publicly admitted that they are not in good terms.
But despite their differences, Ejercito said he felt about his brother’s “predicament.”
“Even if my brother & I are not in good terms, I feel bad about his predicament, especially for his family,” Ejercito said.
“We’ve experienced this before and I know how difficult it is especially for his family. This is something you don’t wish to happen to anyone. My prayers are with him,” he added.
