MANILA, Philippines–Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. has arrived at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters following the court’s approval of his motion to be detained at Camp Crame.

Ecorted by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Police Director Benjamin Magalong and CIDG-National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) head Senior Superintendent Roberto Fajardo, ‎Revilla arrived in a white Innova van.

The senator was committed by the Sandiganbayan’s First Division to the PNP headquarters.

This was in compliance with Revilla’s motion to elect detention facility, which was approved immediately by the court.

Revilla asked to be detained at the PNP Custodial Center.

At Camp Crame, Revilla will ‎be subjected to booking procedures, which include physical and medical examination and the taking of his mugshot.

The booking will take place at the PNP Multipurpose Hall.

PNP tightened security within the premises of Camp Crame. Policemen wearing riot gears were deployed to man the entry points of the police headquarters.

Before the embattled senator was brought to the PNP headquarters, he underwent booking process at Sandiganbayan.

For a while, he was held at the court Sheriff’s office as he was waiting for the commitment order.

At around 10 a.m., Revilla submitted himself to the anti-graft court following its issuance of arrest warrant for the senator and 32 others in connection with the multi-billion pork barrel scam.
